Hey, thanks for your note last night. I have been meaning to catch up with you properly. The weekend went by faster than expected and I barely had time to sit down and breathe. That hike you mentioned up near the ridge sounds like something I would actually enjoy even though I am not as outdoorsy as you are. I started looking into getting a decent pair of trail shoes nothing too expensive just something that will keep me from slipping on wet rocks. My neighbor has a pair he swears by and he goes almost every weekend. We should really pick a Saturday that works for both of us and just go. I can pack lunch and maybe even bring that portable speaker you liked. Let me know what you think and also if you have any tips for a beginner like me who gets winded after the first incline.

Also I finally tried that ramen spot downtown you recommended. It was fantastic. The broth was rich and the noodles had the perfect chew. I added extra chili oil and it was exactly what I needed after a long week. The wait was about twenty minutes but it moved fast and the counter seating gave it a cozy vibe. I will definitely go back. We should go together next time if you are free.

Oh I forgot to mention earlier when we were talking about the garden project. I finally got those tomato seedlings in the ground last weekend. The soil needed a bit of work and I added some compost I had been turning for a couple of months. It was still a little damp but I think it will be fine. I went with three varieties one cherry type that my cousin always grows and two heirloom kinds that were on sale at the nursery. I also put in some basil and chives along the edge because they supposedly help keep pests away. I honestly do not know how much of that is true but it looks nice anyway.

The weather has been cooperating so far with enough sun and a few light showers. I will need to set up a better watering system soon because I forget to water them every day. A simple drip line would probably do the trick and I can set it on a timer. Let me know if you have ever used one of those battery operated timers. I saw one at the hardware store but I was not sure if it was worth the money. Anyway I will keep you posted on how the tomatoes turn out. If they do well I will bring you a basket.
