Thanks for asking about the house project. Yes, I think using a satin finish on the trim will work better than semi-gloss. The contractor mentioned it holds up well in high-traffic areas and doesn’t show brush marks as easily. We’re planning to start painting next Tuesday, so I’ll send you some progress photos. The color we chose is a soft oatmeal, which should complement the existing walls. Let me know if you want the paint codes. I’ll also need help moving furniture that weekend if you’re available.

Sure, I can share what I learned about composting. You want to layer green material like kitchen scraps with brown material like dried leaves. The pile should be kept moist but not soggy, and turned every week or two to aerate it. I started mine three months ago and it’s already breaking down well. Avoid adding meat or dairy to prevent odors. Also, place the bin in a spot with partial shade. If you need a bin, I have an extra one you can borrow. Let me know when you’d like to pick it up.
