Thanks for asking about the trail conditions up on Mount Hood last weekend. It was mostly clear but there were a few icy patches near the switchbacks around 6000 feet. We started at the Timberline Lodge parking lot around 7 AM hoping to avoid the afternoon winds. The weather forecast was pretty accurate for once. I would definitely recommend bringing microspikes even if the forecast looks clear, because the shaded areas stay frozen pretty late into the morning. The tree line is around 7500 feet and once you are above that the views are completely worth the climb. We brought sandwiches and ate them at the summit ridge since it was sunny and calm. The only downside was that the parking lot was nearly full when we got back down around 2 PM. I think it is because the skiing conditions are still decent for this late in the season. Let me know if you want me to share my GPS track for that route. It might be helpful for planning your own trip up there next month.

I looked over the deployment timeline you sent over for the new customer portal update. It seems like we are on track for the end of the month release but I have a couple of concerns. The QA testing window is only three days before the final deployment date. If we run into any issues with the payment gateway integration we might need to push back the go-live date. I think we should add a buffer day or two just in case. Also the front-end team mentioned that they need the finalized API endpoints by the 15th to make sure everything aligns properly. I can set up a quick meeting with the backend engineers to confirm their timeline. Other than that the staging environment looks ready and the test cases are well documented. I will begin the load testing this Thursday and report back with the results. Let me know if you see any blockers on your end that I might have missed in the initial review.
