Thanks for the note about our upcoming trip to the Sawtooth range. We looked at the trail conditions for the Mount Heyburn route this past weekend. The southern access should be passable by late June if the current weather pattern holds steady. We planned a 3-day trek, staying at the Cathedral Rock camp the first night. Remember to bring the water filtration system and bear canisters. I will send out the confirmed gear list tomorrow evening. Let me know if you need to borrow a sleeping bag or my camp stove. The raised bed garden plans you asked about are coming along. I used cedar planks for the frame because it resists rot well. The dimensions are roughly 4 feet by 8 feet for the main bed. We will need about 1.5 cubic yards of raised bed soil mix. I will pick it up from the landscape supply early Saturday morning. I will also grab a bag of organic vegetable fertilizer. For the trellis, I think we can use cattle panels arched over the back half. That should support the cucumbers and beans nicely. Let me know if you want to add drip irrigation before we fill it, I think it is worth doing now rather than later. We also need to decide on the layout of the paths around the beds to make sure we have enough space for the wheelbarrow.
