I saw your message about the hiking trail map and honestly I think the blue loop is way easier than the red one especially if you're bringing someone who doesn't hike a lot. We did the red loop last weekend and it was pretty rocky near the top. The views are great though totally worth the extra effort. I'd suggest starting early because the parking lot fills up by nine. Bring extra water because there aren't many shaded spots once you get above the treeline. Let me know if you want to borrow my trekking poles they helped a lot on the steep sections. I'm free next Saturday if you want to go together my cousin said the wildflowers are still blooming near the summit.

I finally tried that sourdough recipe you sent me and it turned out way better than I expected. The first rise took almost five hours because my kitchen is pretty cool but the crumb structure was actually really nice. I used a mix of bread flour and whole wheat and added a little honey to the starter. My neighbor said it was the best loaf I've made so far. I think the trick is really letting it rest long enough during the bulk fermentation. I'm going to try adding some rosemary and sea salt next time.
