I looked over the notes this morning and I think the main issue is just timing, not anything more complicated.
I can handle my portion this afternoon, and I should have a cleaner draft by early evening if nothing gets bumped around.
I also wanted to say that the shorter version you suggested makes more sense to me now after sitting with it for a bit.
I was trying to fit too many thoughts into one response, and it probably sounded less clear than I meant.

I went ahead and tried the other format, and it actually solved the clunky part I mentioned yesterday.
The flow feels smoother now, and it does not stall in the middle the way the earlier one did.
I still think the ending can be softened a bit so it feels less abrupt, but overall it is moving in the right direction.
I can make those final edits once I get another uninterrupted hour.
If you are still unsure, send me the two sections you were debating and I will mark which parts feel stronger.
