You asked about the raised bed dimensions and I think we should go with the=
 wider option since the south side of the yard gets plenty of sunlight thro=
ughout the day. The cedar boards arrived yesterday and they look like they =
will hold up well. I measured the space again and we have enough room for t=
hree beds with a pathway in between. We could plant tomatoes and peppers in=
 the first one and herbs and greens in the other two. I found a good source=
 for organic soil mix nearby and they deliver in bulk. Let me know if you w=
ant me to place the order or if you have another supplier in mind. We shoul=
d aim to get everything set up this weekend so the plants have time to esta=
blish before the hotter weather arrives. I can bring the tools and hardware=
 if you have a drill and a level handy.

I also looked into the drip irrigation kit you mentioned and it seems strai=
ghtforward to install. The kit comes with enough tubing to cover three beds=
 and includes adjustable emitters which would let us control the water flow=
 for different plants. I think we can get the whole system running in an af=
ternoon once the beds are assembled. Let me know if you want to split the c=
ost or if you prefer to handle that part on your own. Either way I am happy=
 to help with the installation.

You asked about the slow cooker recipe and I finally tried it with a few ad=
justments that worked well. I added extra garlic and a splash of balsamic n=
ear the end which gave it a nice depth. The meat came out tender after cook=
ing on low for about seven hours and the carrots held their shape without t=
urning mushy. I served it over mashed potatoes and it was filling enough fo=
r a weekday dinner. I am planning to make it again next week with some mush=
rooms added in. If you want to try it I can send you the modified version w=
ith the changes noted. Let me know what you think of it if you give it a go=
. I have been on the lookout for more meals that reheat well for lunch the =
next day and this one seems to fit the bill nicely.

I also wanted to ask about the grain salad you mentioned a while ago. I tri=
ed making a version with farro and roasted squash and it turned out pretty =
well. I added a bit of feta and some toasted pumpkin seeds for texture. Let=
 me know if you have a go-to dressing for that type of salad because mine c=
ould use a little more acidity.
