Hey! So you asked about that trail I tried last weekend. Honestly it was go=
rgeous but tougher than expected. The elevation gain snuck up on me about h=
alfway through. Definitely bring plenty of water and start early if you go.=
The views at the top were totally worth it though. Saw a few deer and the =
wildflowers are starting to bloom. There's a nice flat spot near the summit=
where you can sit and have lunch. I'd recommend going on a weekday if you =
can swing it because the parking lot gets full fast on weekends. Also the b=
ugs are starting to come out so bring some repellent. The trailhead has a s=
mall parking area with a bathroom that's usually pretty clean. Let me know =
if you want more details about the route or gear. Happy to share anything t=
hat helps you prepare for the hike.
The weather was perfect last weekend not too hot and a nice breeze at the t=
op. I think the fall colors will be amazing in a few weeks if you want to p=
lan another trip then.

Thanks for the podcast recommendation by the way I finally listened to it o=
n my drive yesterday and I really enjoyed the episode about urban gardening=
The host has such a relaxed way of explaining things and the guest shared =
some practical tips for growing tomatoes in small spaces I tried one of the=
container methods already and I'm hopeful it works out I also started brow=
sing through their back catalog There's an episode about fermentation that =
looks interesting and another about native plants that I want to check out =
next The production quality is really good too Not too polished but clear a=
nd easy to follow Let me know if you have any other favorite episodes or si=
milar shows to recommend Always looking for something good to listen to whi=
le commuting or doing chores around the house I also checked out a few othe=
r shows they mentioned in the cross promotion section and added a couple to=
my queue.
The episode really made me think about starting a small herb garden on my b=
alcony even with limited space.
