Hey, thanks for the quick response on the trip itinerary. I think the route you mapped out covers the key spots we wanted to hit. About the accommodation, the inn you mentioned looks good but I also found a cabin rental a little further north that has a hot tub and is right on the lake. It might be a better fit if we want to relax in the evening rather than drive into town. I will call them tomorrow to check availability. For the API rate limiting strategy, I recommend the sliding window log approach over the fixed window counter. The fixed window can lead to burst traffic at the boundaries, causing uneven load. With a sliding window, we can smooth out the request flow and provide a more consistent experience for consumers. We should store the timestamps in Redis sorted sets for efficient pruning. The TTL can be set to the window duration. Implementing this would require a small change in the middleware layer, but I think it is worth the effort for the long term stability of the service.
